Meet The Builders
Mac and Dana Cavanaugh have over 80 years of combined building experience, allowing them to incorporate the most advanced building products with tried and true home building practices that withstand the test of time.
Mac Cavanaugh
At the age of 14, Mac’s first job was doing carpentry with his father in New York and continued every summer until leaving for college. Mac graduated as a basketball athlete, while also earning a degree in business. After doing Real Estate in New York City he felt the pull of his true passion for building taking him to Coronado.
Mac inspires a faithful commitment to advanced building standards in both the Cavanaugh Construction team, as well as with his three kids building with Legos at home. His team of Subcontractors, Suppliers and employees are all motivated by his focus on working efficiently to save Clients time and money; while also upholding quality craftsmanship.
Dana Cavanaugh
As the son of a Navy pilot Dana’s family moved a bit while he was growing up, but Coronado is a place where his family settled in to build a house and call home. As an adult Dana is passionate about building quality homes and making meaningful contributions to the community where he spent part of his childhood.
Dana discovered his passion for building early in life at Cornell University where he studied Architecture, Construction Engineering and Carpentry. It is this passion that led Dana back to his childhood home in Coronado to start Cavanaugh Construction.
